Kilkeel man accused of indecent exposure

Evaldus Brasas, 39, is accused of exposing himself to a passing motorist in an incident alleged to have happened on October 13.

EVALDUS Brasas, of Mourneview Park, Kilkeel, appeared before District Judge Natasha Fitzsimons at Banbridge Magistrates’ Court, sitting at Newry Courthouse, charged with indecent exposure.

The charge alleges that Brasas committed an act of a lewd, obscene or disgusting nature by exposing himself to a man on October 13, 2026.

The court heard that a police constable driving along the Mill Road/Newcastle Road area saw a man exposing himself to a passing car. The man was later found in a hedge in a garden, allegedly masturbating.

The court heard that Brasas had previously lived in Northern Ireland and had returned from Lithuania for a holiday. He had no confirmed bail address, although a friend had offered him accommodation. An investigation into the suitability of the accommodation had not yet been carried out.

The case was adjourned until October 21, when Brasas is due to appear by video link.
